This weekend, I'm participating with my dad and sister in the walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in San Diego.

Donation link: afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?…

Why am I interested? On March 26th, 2008, I lost my older brother, John, to suicide. He was only 17 when he died. He was my best friend and only remaining childhood friend. I looked up to him as a role model and he played a major part in inspiring me to become an artist. His death was not only devastating to me, but to the rest of my family, his friends, and their families. I don't want other families to go through what we did.

These lovely artists :iconmisterjollyfish:, :iconlittle-reed:, :iconbarrenalmond:, and :iconsymphonicpyro: are joining me to help fund the donation pool for this cause that holds great, personal importance to me and my family. If you are an artist who is interested in teaming up with us, let us know! Bare in mind the limited time frame of the donations, as we only have until Saturday to accept requests, so hurry, hurry, hurry!
Edit: I've just found out that donations can be accepted throughout the year! So no need to rush!

I just grabbed a shit ton of the kawaiist journal skins I could and that seemed like a good enough motivator for me to make a journal since I haven't made one in like over 8 months.

Yeah, that's about it.

Happy birthday dA indeed.

Sorry ya'll, or anyone as it is more realistically speaking, but I deleted my last journal because every time I got on here and looked at it, I just went 'Oh lawdy those commissions are so laaaaaaaaaaaaaate,' like, already into the next year, late. That and a few other reasons I would rather not discuss publicly.

Also happy new year.
One day in and we're not dead yet! : D

Anyway, I just wanted to clarify that I don't think I'm doing any request drawings for a while. I'm way too fucking slow at drawing to get anything done at a specific date and college is approaching again in two weeks. Sometimes I can whip up a picture within the span of a day but most often I lose all motivation to finish drawings and it usually remains as messy, red sketches in the far regions of my files. My muse needs to get a backbone, I know, I'm working on that.

ok

ok

so like

My dad and I, we were eating at Panda Express tonight and we were seated near the GLASS WALLS, so you can see people eating outside and get a nice view of people driving towards Target. I don't know. But THERE WE WERE.
So we were eating, everything fine, hustle and bustle of other people getting their Americanized sugery fatty goodness Chinese food and stuffing it in their faces with wooden sticks when my dad looks to our left (or my dad's right if you want to be a dick about it) and he says,
"Why's there a bag of dog food outside?"

and I'm like, eating something obviously when he says this so I'm like,
"Wuwt?"

and he's all like,
"No really."

and he's doing that -gesture with the entire hand thing to indicate the location- rather than pin'pointing' it with a 'pointed' finger. Because I guess that might hurt the bag of dog food's feelings.
After I stared at the outside for like- a whole minute- looking for the bag of dog food like where's Waldo- half expecting it to spring up on me with that ridiculous red and white sweater and hat with Harry Potter glasses taped to its baggy exterior- I found that it was basically RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. Except to the left. My left. Dad's right. You get the picture. OUTSIDE.

So I see it.
It's got to be at least FIFTY pounds worth of dog food in a bright green, authentic dog food bag. Pedigree I think it was.
And it's just laying there. All by its dog food baggy lonesome.
50-pounds worth of dog food, just casually sitting behind a chair against the short, metal fancy fence/rail that surrounds the Panda Express because I guess it was built on a higher platform and they don't want customers falling off and becoming road kill for Target customers.

Anyway. So back to the dog food.
First question we asked was;

"Why is it there?"

So we tried coming up with all of these scenarios that could possibly land this ridiculous occurance into the reality of which it has become;

Maybe someone left it there?

Who would take the time to buy a FIFTY-POUND BAG OF DOG FOOD, walk all the way from Target or wherever the hell they got it, and then just LEAVE it there?

Maybe it's a Panda Express employee's.

Why couldn't they bring it /inside/?

Does Panda Express have a regulation against bringing in large bags of dog food in case customers think they're eating dogs?
I thought they ate cats?

How distracted can you POSSIBLY be to have taken the time to heave such a bag all the way to Panda Express and just FORGET about it?

IT'S BIG AND BRIGHT GREEN.
You have just dragged Shrek some odd distance; to just LEAVE him there; unattended.
Someone has GOT to be mind fucking with us here.

So we just kept staring at this thing for the rest of our time at Panda.
Watching passerbyers overlook it like it's no big deal.
50-pound bag of dog food. No big deal. It's practically one with the shrubbery.
If the shrubbery was a BRIGHT GREEN BAG OF DOG FOOD.

GUH.

We're going over there again to see if anyone has claimed it because God damn, that thing could feed our dog for at least a month or two.

If you got any more possible explanations as to WHY THE FUCK IT IS THERE. Please do.

Willing to accept some pretty obscene possibilities by this point.
Aliens. Obama. Candid Camera Mind fucks. All of the above.

Anything.
